ABIR Summer Internship Program
ABIR Intern Advertisement Summer 2019
The Association of Bermuda Insurers and Reinsurers [ABIR] is looking for a Summer intern to participate in meaningful academic and professional development in Bermuda’s international financial sector and gain exposure to local public policy. The program will provide a general understanding of the insurance market as well as ABIR’s vital role to the (re)insurance sector. The student, at the completion of the internship will be expected to have submitted a research report on a relevant, emerging, topic affecting the insurance industry with the guidance and support of the ABIR team.
The internship will consist of:
- 6-week, part-time (25 hours per week), paid position
- Education on Bermuda (re)insurance market
- Exposure to local policy initiatives
- Published research report
Requirements:
- Short Essay (500 words) on the impact of cyber risk to the (re)insurance industry
- Currently attending college or university with a minimum GPA of 3.0
- Bermudian and/or PRC Holder
- Interest in pursuing a career in the (re)insurance industry
- Strong research and analytical ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A high level of intellectual capability and curiosity
